Telecommunications Industry Gets High-Risk Security Backup

For the technicians and engineers working to put telecommunications companies back online in New Orleans following the landing of Hurricane Katrina, the security contingent was a necessary component to pull off this massive project in light of looters and armed gangs that had enveloped the city. Yes, that's correct–they were shooting at the repair technicians and (on-site) management. Out of the hundreds of privately hired security personnel providing support for the telecommunications industry, a highly trained unit of 30 provided by Threat Management and Protection, Inc., performed this much needed high-risk executive protection operation for technicians and engineers, while they assessed damage and made critical repairs to equipment in the field.
